Vaujany embodies the charm and the seduction of an authentic Alpine high-altitude village, sitting on a sunny plateau across from the Massif des Grandes Rousses, on the outskirts of the Ecrins National Park, just 50km from Grenoble. LE SAPHIR is a major project aimed at continuing to develop the Vaujany ski area and providing greater comfort to visiting tourists. From 2016 to 2020, the City Council is investing millions into a range of new developments and infrastructure improvements aimed at attracting new visitors and turn this growing resort into a top destination for ski tourism. Taking up an enviable position at the very heart of the village, this new development Le Saphir consists of two parts. The first part of the project aims to create a multi-service zone on two different levels. This area will include a cinema and a conference room, small businesses (bakery, restaurants, convenience shop, etc.), a ski equipment rental facility, a museum and the tour guides’ office. A covered public car park with 46 spaces and two elevators will be open to the public to connect the different levels of the resort.
A second part of the project will focus on the construction of a residential area of exceptional quality, with 18 apartments ranging from T2 cabin to T4 duplex with parking. Furnished and equipped, the Saphir’s 18 apartments will offer high-class services.
