350 million Euros are being invested to upgrade the neighbouring Alpe d’Huez in the next 5 years, which will include linking to the resort Les 2 Alpes. An 18-pylon gondola between the two will create a giant three resort area (Les Deux Alpes is already linked to La Grave) with three glaciers. When the gondola opens in 2021, opening the potential of total ski area to 475km, Les 2 Alpes will gain world-class resort status. Les 2 Alpes also hosts summer and autumn camps on the glacier for skiers and snowboarders.
